Yes, finally, there is no more lockout. finally, i can watch football again. i’m excited to watch the vikings go 16-0 with Donovan Mcnabb as QB. Hah, like that will happen. Hopefully we can at least make the playoffs this year. I think that the Jets might finally make the super bowl this year. Mark Sanchez has a lot of experience in the playoffs and being a team leader, so I think that the Jets have a good shot this year, especially with a good coach like Rex Ryan.
Bruins win stanley cup!!
•June 17, 2011 • 1 CommentThe bruins have won the stanley cup! The bruins hadn’t won since the 1971-1972 season. But they finally beat the canucks and won. The series was very exciting. Luongo played very strangely. It started out looking like it was going to be a battle between the goalies, and overall, that is what happened. Luongo started out well, but Tim Thomas was playing well too. Then, Luongo let up 8 goals in game 3, and the Bruins had momentum. The Bruins carried that momentum into the next game, and won 4-0 in game 4. In Vancouver all of the games weren’t blowouts for the first three games, and the Canucks won by a score of 1-0. Maxim Lapierre scored the goal. Luongo commented on the goal afterwards, saying “It’s an easy save for me, but if you’re wandering out and agressive like he does, that’s going to happen.” This came back to haunt Luongo in game 6, where he got pulled after 3 goals, and only 8 shots. He was pulled right away, and the Canucks coach, Alain Vigneault, didn’t want to risk anything. The backup for Luongo, Cory Schneider, didn’t play horribly, actually he played pretty well, he let up 2 goals on 32 shots (better than Luongo) and looked like he fit in as the starter out there. So the final score of game 6 was 5-2. Game 7 was in Vancouver and the Canucks were 3-0 against the Bruins there in the finals. Everybody was expecting the canucks to win and for it to be a close game. But it wasn’t, Boston won 4-0 and Thomas played really well with 37 saves on 37 shots. Tim Thomas earned the MVP award, and the Bruins won the stanley cup.
Twins season so far
•April 18, 2011 • 1 CommentThe twins have not started off so well this year. They are 5-10. And to make that even worse, they are in last place In the division. Nathan has blown a couple saves, Capps has blown a save or 2. We could easily be 7-8 or 8-7 even, if Nathan and Capps could just have gotten those few saves. We blew 2 saves in one game, how is that even possible? And to add to this, Joe Mauer has caught the flu. Not the best way to start off the season.
Pens get Kovalev
•February 25, 2011 • Leave a CommentI think that this was a good deal for the Pens. They get Alexei Kovalev, and they give up a sixth or seventh round pick depending on how far they make it in the playoffs. That’s pretty good if I say so myself. Although Kovalev isn’t as big of an all-star as he was in the 2007-2008 season, when he head 35 goals and 49 assists, he is still a good player. This year for the Senators, he has 14 goals, and 13 assists. Which is still pretty good, not as good as Stamkos for sure, but still good. I think that Kovalev could help the Pens in their hunt for the Stanley Cup.
Carmelo to the Kniciks
•February 25, 2011 • Leave a CommentI think that this was a great deal for the Knicks. They got Melo and Billups. Billups is averaging 16.6 points per game. He’s played 962 games and he’s still going. Melo, I mean everyone knows about him. He’s averaging 25.2 PPG, and 7.7 RPG. Getting 25 points a game is great. And, just to make sure that the Knicks know that Melo won’t crack under the pressure, he scored 27 points and 10 rebounds in his Knicks debut. Now that’s the way to start off with a new team.
The weekend of playoffs in review
•January 18, 2011 • 1 CommentEveryone was talking about the Jets vs. Patriots game. After the blowout by the patriots earlier this week, the patriots were favored to win, and people thought that the Pats would own. But that didn’t happen, Sanchez had a pretty good game with 3 TD’s and 194 yards. Brady played well, but an interception. What, Brady throwing an interception. I couldn’t believe it, but thats what happens in football. The pats were only 2/4 in the red zone, while the Jets were a solid 4/5. No one was a complete star, but Jerricho Cotchery did play well. He caught 5 passes for 96 yards. Now, the Packers vs. Falcons game was a blowout. Aaron Rodgers was amazing. He was 31/36 in passes attempted/completed. That is outstanding. And, just to add to that, he passed for 366 yards with 3 TD’s and 0 INT. It was an exciting game in a way though. At first it looked like it would be pretty even, but then the Packers scored 35 unanswered points, and it turned into a blowout. Michael Turner didn’t do so much with 39 rushing yards, but he did have 1 TD. I was expecting it to be a good game, but for the Falcons to win. Instead it was the exact opposite, it was a blowout, and the Packers won.

Brad Childress gets fired
•November 24, 2010 • 1 CommentI am happy that Brad Childress finally got fired. He had a long career (at least it seemed long) with the vikings. But in his career, he may of made some good decisions, like getting farve last year, which turned out to be a bad decision this year, but he also had many, many bad decisions. For example, he signed Randy Moss, and everyone in MN was pumped, but then after a few weeks he just dropped him. Oh, there goes a couple million dollars. That, and how the vikings are 3-7, led up to Brad Childress getting fired.
